9 Thanksgiving side dishes and desserts

I can’t believe that Thanksgiving is next week!  Time is flying by!  Today I’ve rounded up 9 side dishes and desserts you will want for your Thanksgiving menu!

The star of every thanksgiving menu is not the turkey but the dressing!  I look forward to it all year.  This recipe for dressing is my favorite!

My family has always had dumplings on Thanksgiving.  It’s the thing my kids look the most forward to.  This is my Grandma’s dumpling recipe.  They are always a hit!

If you asked my husband what dish he looks forward to the most I think he would say broccoli rice casserole.  I started making it the first year we were married and I am on my 21st year of making it now!

Growing up I never liked sweet potatoes.  The first time I tried this sweet potato casserole, that changed my mind forever!

Thanksgiving would not be complete without some type of sweet salad.  We have been eating this cranberry relish for years.  I think it compliments the turkey perfectly!

If cranberry relish is too tart and too much cranberry for you then give this fluffy cranberry salad a try.  It has pineapple, marshmallows and cool whip too.  It has been a hit at our house!

If cranberries aren’t your thing, then give this Snickers apple salad a try.  My sister used to say this was the only “salad” she liked!

When I think of Thanksgiving dessert I always think of some sort of pie.  This apple pie never disappoints!  It is sooooo good!

Pecan pie is a classic Thanksgiving dessert and my family recently started really liking it. This pie is so easy a kid could make it!

Hopefully you’ve found a few new recipes to add to your family’s Thanksgiving menu.
