Are you ready for Super Bowl Sunday? I kind of have mixed feelings about it this year. I hate that football will be over until September. But it also feels like it should already be over since they pushed the season a week later. My internal clock feels off! I’m not used to the Super Bowl and Valentines day being celebrated at the same time! Today’s recipe will definitely put you in the football mood! Is there anything that screams football more than Buffalo Chicken Dip?
As I’ve told you in the past, there are only a few recipes that everyone in my house will eat but this is on that short list. When polling my family about what they want to eat for the Super Bowl, this Buffalo Chicken Dip is on the list every year! Two other favorites are what we refer as the “Big Sandwich” and Pepperoni Pizza Dip.
What is Buffalo Chicken Dip?
If you’ve never had Buffalo Chicken Dip before, the best way to describe it is all the good things about wings, but without the mess. The recipe is really simple. You use cooked, shredded chicken breast, cream cheese, buffalo sauce, ranch or blue cheese dressing and shredded cheese.
What do I serve with this dip?
I always serve this dip with tortilla chips. But a way to make this a great low carb option is to serve it with cut veggies. Celery sticks work great. They scoop the dip nicely and they are a traditional accompaniment to wings.
Can I make Buffalo Chicken Dip in the crockpot?
Yes. It’s a great way to prepare this dip if you are setting it out for a party for a long period of time. Just put all the ingredients in the crockpot and give it a stir. You can still reserve some of the cheese for the top if you like. Just set the heat to low or warm and it will be ready to go in a couple of hours!
Give this delicious dip a try for the big game this weekend. I guarantee it won’t be the last time you make it! It’s so good!
