Can you believe it is November? I know I say this every year, but I don’t know where they year has gone. Since time if flying by so quickly, we need to get into holiday mode here on the blog. So I’m going to be sharing some recipes from now until Christmas that will be good for holiday gatherings. Today I bring you the ever-popular Chocolate Chip Cheeseball!
This is not your ordinary cheeseball! Most people automatically think savory when they hear the word cheeseball. I’m sure you figured out by the name that this one is sweet. It’s definitely a new take on an old favorite.
This sweet version of a classic party food is not only delicious but it’s also easy. There’s even a good possibility you already have all the ingredients on hand. All you need is cream cheese, butter, vanilla, powdered and brown sugar, chocolate chips and pecans.
When I’m working with cream cheese and butter for recipes like this, I like to let them soften on the counter several hours before I use them. It makes creaming them together so easy. After those two are creamed, you gradually add in the sugars and then fold in the chocolate chips.
Because I let my cream cheese and butter soften so long sometimes I chill the chesseball before I roll it in pecans. That makes it a little easier.
I love to serve this Chocolate Chip Cheeseball with graham cracker sticks or vanilla wafers. Whatever you serve it with, I promise you there won’t be any left! Give this one a try soon!
