Happy New Year!!! I can’t believe it’s 2018! The holidays were so busy for my family that I didn’t get to share our Christmas favorites with you, but I will be making that up to you with this recipe! What could be better than a warm, buttery biscuit? A warm, buttery biscuit dripping with chocolate gravy!
I know when you think of biscuits and gravy you automatically think of the white cream gravy with sausage served for breakfast. This chocolate gravy with biscuits will change the way you think of biscuits and gravy forever……promise!
It’s amazing how easily and fast these few simple ingredients can be put together to make the most amazing creation. As a matter of fact, you probably already have everything you need on hand for this decadent dessert. Using canned biscuits, this can be put together in about 10 minutes.
When I made the chocolate gravy and biscuits I set my oven to preheat while I gathered the ingredients. Once the oven was preheated, I put the biscuits in the oven and started on the chocolate gravy. You will want to stay with the chocolate as it is cooking to make sure it doesn’t come to a full boil or scorch. By the time the biscuits are done cooking, your chocolate gravy will be done.
When I put the biscuits on my plate, I like to put a little pat of butter on each side, drizzle the chocolate gravy over the top and then dig in! The warm, buttery biscuit is the perfect canvas for the rich, decadent chocolate gravy. It’s the perfect dessert for this bitterly cold weather we’ve been having! I hope you enjoy!
Happy New Year!
