Savory Pecan Pumpkin Butter Spread

We are down to three weeks until Thanksgiving!  There are times I can’t believe how fast time is going and then sometimes it feels like we are standing still.  I guess that’s 2020 for you!  Anyway, Thanksgiving will be here soon.  I know some family’s celebrations will look different this year and some won’t.  No matter what your celebration looks like, you will still want good food.  This Savory Pecan Pumpkin Butter Spread will fit the bill.

Every year I go shopping a couple of weeks before Thanksgiving in Nashville and always hit up Williams Sonoma.  I love to see what they are featuring for the holidays and what new products they have each year.  But the best part is that they always have samples of food and it’s always good.  That’s where this appetizer recipe came from.

The first year I made this I bought the Pumpkin Butter at Williams Sonoma.  It was good but pricey!  Since then I have found it at Trader Joe’s for a fraction of the cost.  Living in So ILL, we don’t have either of those stores.  That posed a problem this year when I wanted to make this recipe.  A friend of mine hunted some down for me at Cracker Barrel of all places!

This spread is so easy to put together.  Prep your ingredients early in the day or even the night before.  The hardest part is trying to keep everyone out of the cooked bacon!

When I make this appetizer I usually put everything over the block of cream cheese but it can all be mixed together.  If you do serve it just layered over the cream cheese and have some left, you can just mix it all together.  Honestly, I’ve never had any leftover, but if you had a small crowd you might have some left.

Whether you make it layered over the cream cheese or all blended together, I think you’re going to love this one!  I love my traditional Thanksgiving dishes, but it’s nice to try something new every once in a while!

Enjoy!
