Italian Beef

Delicious slow cooked beef with Italian seasonings. 
Servings 10

Ingredients

  • 4 lb sirloin tip roast
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 5 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp ground red pepper
  • 1 medium onion
  • 3 tsp italian seasoning
  • 1 can beef broth
  • 1/2 can beer
  • 4-5 pepperoncini

Instructions

  1. Peel onion and place in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  2. Place roast on top of onion.   Sprinkle Italian seasoning and red pepper on top. Place bay leaf and peppers in the slow cooker.
  3. Add all liquid around the roast.  Cook on low for 8 hours.
  4. Remove roast from slow cooker, shred. 
  5. Put meat back in juices in slow cooker and set slow cooker to warm setting.  Serve on toasted hoagie or pub rolls.
