Chocolate Gravy and Biscuits

This rich and and delicious chocolate gravy takes biscuits to a whole new level.  Once you try theses, you'll never want to go back to the traditional version!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp cocoa
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 3 cans Grand's Jr. Buttermilk Biscuits small cans

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Once it's preheated, bake biscuits according to directions on can.
  2. Mix first three dry ingredients together in a bowl
  3. Add the next three ingredients to a saucepan.  Over medium heat begin cooking the butter vanilla and milk. 
  4. Once butter begins to melt, add the sugar mixture.  Continue cooking and stirring until the mixture comes almost to a boil, but DO NOT LET BOIL.  Reduce the heat to low and cook for five minutes, stirring often.
  5. Serve biscuits open-face style with chocolate gravy over the top.
