Meet Allison

I’m a wife, mom to almost-grown sons, and the cook behind AllisonProper. I live in Southern Illinois, where food has always been at the center of our family life, gathering us around the table each day. I grew up learning to cook from my mom and grandmothers, mastering the classic recipes that have been passed down and loved for generations. Those tried-and-true dishes are my foundation, and I love preserving them while making them practical for today’s kitchen.
